ORC Week 6 - DIY Week

Welcome to week 6 of the Spring One Room Challenge

This week is all about DIYing!

We are thrilled to share with you the latest updates on the bedroom transformation project that Theresa Butler Interiors has been working on. Our goal is to convert a dull space into a vibrant and spacious area for a young girl in just 8 weeks. Last week, we completed painting the walls, which was a significant milestone in our journey. In case you missed it, you can catch up on the previous updates on our blog or check out our Instagram for more photos and videos.

During the past week, we focused on DIYing various elements to add a personal touch to the room. We took the client's existing furniture and sanded everything down to repaint it with Voyage by Behr. We also replaced the hardware with gold finishes to give the furniture a fresh new look. It was a long and tedious process, but we put in all our efforts to achieve the desired results.

As we progressed, we turned our attention to the finer details, the accessories that would truly elevate the space. Staying true to our DIY spirit, Theresa Butler, the visionary behind Theresa Butler Interiors, crafted custom drapery and shapes for the bedroom. The drapery, adorned with a delightful pom-pom border, was a perfect match for the wallpaper.

And to add a touch of Theresa's unique artistry, she used her pottery skills to create some truly stunning wall decor, making the room truly one-of-a-kind.

We are thrilled to see everything come together and cannot wait to share the final reveal with you. Visit our Instagram to see more pictures and videos our process.

Come back next week to see the installation day. We are excited to witness the room's transformation and bring the client's vision to life.
